SOUTHWIND EV · Products · Contact sales

OEM and ODM EV charging projects need a controlled path from connector direction to production release. Southwind works with distributors, installers and mobility teams on model selection, samples, branding and supply planning.

OEM & ODM EV Charging Solutions

1. Scope the product

Define the charger-side and vehicle-side connector, AC or DC mode, power, current, length, control functions, market and target application. This prevents an attractive but incorrect connector match.

2. Review the model and sample

We can organize a model-specific datasheet, open-question list and sample plan. Validate insertion, retention, charging start, stable operation, interruption recovery, release and packaging before volume production.

3. Prepare your brand system

Discuss logo placement, cable or control-box markings, label language, carton artwork, accessories, manuals and private-label SKU naming. Keep every variant tied to a clear revision.

4. Release production

Confirm approved sample, electrical ratings, inspection points, packaging, quantity, lead time and destination-market documents. Incoming inspection, assembly, testing and shipment records support a repeatable supply handoff.

What makes an OEM EV charging project ready?

A project is ready for a reliable quote when the product role, connector direction, electrical target, equipment pair, target market, sample evidence and order quantity are written in one brief. If a field is unknown, mark it open instead of copying a similar model. This keeps AI-readable specifications aligned with the actual purchasing decision.

Suitable project types

Certification scope, exact ratings, MOQ and delivery terms are confirmed for each model and market. Request a quotation with the RFQ checklist.

Custom EV charging cable length and construction

Specify working length and tolerance alongside connector ends, phase, current, conductor construction, jacket and routing conditions. A length change can affect handling, voltage drop and thermal performance. Confirm feasibility and the affected validation checks before freezing a custom OEM cable.

Logo and packaging approval

Provide logo artwork, placement, color, label text, languages, manual and carton requirements. Approve these against the correct model and packed sample. Cosmetic approval does not establish electrical performance or compliance.

Private-label EV charging adapters

Start with a documented adapter direction and revision. Align the product image, SKU name, charger side, vehicle side, AC/DC mode, included accessories and listing warnings before applying the private label.

OEM and ODM buyer questions

What is the difference between OEM branding and ODM development?

Branding an existing model may focus on artwork, labels and packing. Electrical, mechanical or control changes need a separate feasibility review, sample plan and validation scope. Confirm which changes are included in the quotation.

What are the MOQ and lead time for a custom project?

They depend on the selected model, quantity, materials, customization, documentation and sample approval. Obtain the agreed schedule and MOQ in the current quotation; shipping and customs time are separate.

Can a logo change use another model's certificate?

Do not assume this. Confirm the exact model identity, revision, applicant or brand and destination-market requirements against the document scope before using certification claims.

Send an OEM project brief
